Before I delve into what’s on my mind, let me be honest. I came to this site to dismantle the blog I started back in November of 2024. Yes, it’s been that long since I first posted! So, why did I stop writing you ask? Well, in a sense, I didn’t think anyone would read my posts, so why bother… I basically got discouraged. But then I kept hearing that small still voice saying, Janice, you need to continue doing that which you started. You have a lot to say, and the people need to hear it. And then, when I came here to dismantle the blog and saw there were 4 comments, I was re-energized and felt encouraged to push forward. So, I said, I’m going to continue. Whether I reach one person or many, I’m going share what’s on my heart and mind along with some amazing (if I may say so myself) papers I wrote while in seminary. Below is the start of more to come!
My initial post was just prior to the 2024 Presidential Election where I opened up about my frustrations that a convicted felon (with 34 felony counts) racist, misogynist, a homophobe, a liar, a malignant narcissist, – and let’s not forget he staged that insurrection on January 6th and has the nerve to say it was a day of love, – could run to be the President of our Country! And yet, he was on the ballot and America once again voted him to be the President of these United States of America. Really?!!! When he won, I was beyond devastated! Noooo, not again?!!! America did not just vote for this racist, homophobic, narcissistic, liar etc. etc. etc., to be the POTUS when there was someone so much more suitable and qualified than he to run our country. But the MAGAlights and a totally misguided population didn’t see it that way. They drank the cool aide, they believed the hype, they fell for the Oky Doke (as Don Lemon always touts) and here we are stuck in a state of despair that many have no clue how to get out of. As the title of this post says, “America, what’s going ON? Are you all paying attention to the madness, the blatant corruption being thrust in our faces with absolutely no accountability?! It goes without saying, our Democracy is under attack!
I watch the news ad nauseam and what I’m seeing is beyond sickening. So much so, I finally had to go to Facebook and unleash my frustration. Below is what I posted with a few additional comments to elaborate further.
I am beyond sick of this administration!!! It is beyond incomprehensible that we (taxpayers) will be footing a 1.8-billion-dollar bill for Agent47 to dole out to his allies, those that will be able to claim to have suffered “weaponization and lawfare.” This of course will include those that were convicted for staging the Jan6 insurrection! This has to be illegal!!! Imagine that people that were actually convicted for their part in the insurrection and went to prison – not to mention were later pardoned – are now going to be able to claim they were weaponized, treated unlawfully, and reap monetary benefit! Seriously?!!! That’s beyond crazy! People died that day, cops were assaulted, Mike Pence’s and Nancy Pellosi’s lives were threatened, the capitol was destroyed and now these people are going to cash in on their mobster behavior?! People are already claiming they will be asking for upwards of $30 million dollars and will most likely get it! Now they’re saying anyone can file a claim – including democrats – but I would venture to guess when it comes to approving who will actually get compensated, that will look totally different. This guy/administration is so corrupt and the fact that this is happening square in the face of Americans without any accountability is sickening!!! The hypocrisy of this administration is unfathomable!!! No other President would have ever thought of doing some of the things he’s been doing, and not to mention if they had there’s no way they would have gotten away with it…just imagine if Obama or Biden had even attempted to do a fraction of what he’s done and is doing! Since I made the FB post, we now learn that the IRS is now in his pocket! Yes, they have made a settlement that bars the IRS from investigating Agent47 or his family for past tax issues! Really! Imagine that…he nor his family can be investigated for any kind of tax evasions, which I would imagine they are committing. America, What’s Going On?!!!
Once again, he’s lying and trying to say he had nothing to do with this agreement which is pure BS because he was the one that threw out his lawsuit against the IRS just so he could set up this “slush fund!” Do you really think he has no knowledge of this!?… I don’t think so! This has to be an impeachable offense… America, it’s time to speak up and speak out against the corruption of this administration! We can’t continue to sit idly by why he continues to rape the American people of our livelihood! Here in Washington in some instances, we’re paying over $6.00 for gas, Really!!! Not to mention the cost of groceries and so much more is skyrocketing! It’s a crying shame that people are being faced with having to choose whether to buy gas, food, pay bills, fill prescriptions or simply starve because they don’t have the means to handle these basic necessities! As my Momma used to say, “Enough is enough and too much stinks!” Can you smell the stench yet!?
Think of the thousands of people that lost their jobs – for no apparent reason – during the “DOGE” era, the thousands of families that have been separated at the hands of ICE, the number of businesses that have folded at the hands of our corrupt government and so much more! It’s just sad! And yet, it did not have to be. All this and more, has and is being allowed by this spineless administration. There’s no way in the world any of this would have occurred – like her or not – had Kamala Harris been elected. But America couldn’t handle an educated Black woman being the leader of our Country! We were warned all of this would happen but those that chose to vote for Agent47 thought he was going to line their pockets with lots of money… singing “I want money, lots and lots of money, I want the pie in the sky…” and he’s going to be the one to give it to me. Yeah, right give me a break! Are you rich yet?… do you have that pie in the sky? Ya’ll were duped really good! He lied square in your face, and you believed everything he said and now you’re wishing you never voted for him. Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm!
And don’t get me started on the spineless Congress/Senate officials! Where is the outrage they demonstrated during the Obama/Biden Biden/Harris administrations, huh, where is it!? They are by definition what hypocrisy is all about!!! Saying one thing publicly but acting differently when it comes to policy, investigations, spending, ethics, etc., etc., etc. Just go back and listen to how they berated them (Obama, Biden, Harris, Congress, etc.) for the slightest thing they did and/or tried to do… some of the very things they’re allowing Agent47 to get away with! Oh, and let’s not forget how some berated Agent47 for staging the insurrection and now here they are about to sit back and allow them to get a payout for something they were clearly guilty of!!! WTH!!! There were many that openly admitted he was the cause of the insurrection. Mitch McConnell said he was “practically and morally responsible” for provoking the insurrection… and now he’s rallying behind him. Lisa Murkowski said he “incited people” and that he “should have immediately denounced the mob”… where does she stand now? What is she doing to speak out against his blatant corrupt acts? Lindsey Graham touted, “count me out, enough is enough”…and now he’s rallying behind him! How spineless! Agent47 and his family are robbing America right in front of our faces and no one who can seemingly do something are doing a dagone thing!!! The list of things he’s done to rack up more debt for Americans is just crazy!!! Tearing down the west wing to build a ballroom that he said we wouldn’t have to pay for but clearly, we will most likely be footing the now over $574 million bill! Then there’s the revamping of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which is costing upwards of $15 million! What was wrong with it to begin with?! It’s said to be to address leaks and structural deterioration and to prepare for the upcoming 250th anniversary of America’s independence in July. Okay, but for $15 million dollars! Oh, then there’s the insurmountable amount of money being spent on this senseless war. It’s estimated that it’s costing us – 81 days in – upwards of $31 billion dollars a day!!! Seriously! And yet there’s supposedly no money to support childcare, health care, school lunch programs, teacher salaries, and so much more. This is just crazy!!! America, what’s going ON?!
And then there’s the gerrymandering where they’re drawing legislative district boundaries to benefit the republican party… what the what!!! Folks, please don’t allow this act to stop you from exercising your right to VOTE!…that’s the only way to show them their actions have no power! We have POWER and it’s time we realize that and start exercising it!!! Raise your voice, write letters, speak up and speak out! Most importantly, GET OUT AND VOTE!!! It’s high time to put the Republican party out of the reign they hold under this current administration! Atlanta folks, if ya’ll don’t vote Keisha Lance Bottoms in as your next Governor, Shame, shame, shame on you!!! Learn lessons from the failure to elect Stacey Abrams in her 2018 bid for Governor, which was a shame. We can’t allow their scare tactics keep us from exercising our God given right to VOTE! They’re playing a very dangerous game, and we simply can’t allow them to get away with it! YOUR VOTE MATTERS!!! That’s the only way to bring this administration under accountability!
We are dealing with a “so called” president that is deranged, he’s a pathological liar, a racist, a misogynist, he’s losing his eva lovin mind, his health is failing, which is another thing his cronies are turning a blind eye to!!! Just look at the number of times he’s been caught falling asleep during cabinet meetings, press briefings, on the world stage in front of other world leaders! He’s an embarrassment to America and his cabinet members know he is and that he’s flailing mentally and physically…and yet, they say nothing! He is not – nor has he ever been – fit to hold the office of POTUS! And yet, here we are again because of his CulticMindedMAGA followers! America, regardless of what he’s touting, we are not respected all over the world. We are a laughingstock and he’s the reason. World leaders know how to play him like a fiddle – they stroke his little fragile ego – and then they turn around and laugh at him. He thinks they all “love him” and they have such good relationships, yeah right! There’s no way any of them can possibly think he’s the best president this country has ever had. He’s by far the dumbest…he can’t parse an intelligent sentence to save his life! Just look at what Xi just did…. he had Putin over and gave him a red-carpet welcome! What/who do you think the focus of their conversation was? Agent47 went over there, kissed Xi’s behind and got nothing out of it except to mocked and laughed at! What an Idiot!
So many people are suffering at the hands of Agent47 and his administration. And the thing is, this did not have to be! The question now is what are we going to do about it? … what can we do about it? Something has to give… yes, I know and believe God is in control, but even God is calling us to do what we can to help him move this mountain of corruption, evil and deceit being inflicted on the American people!!!! So, I ask you America, What’s Going On… and What are we going to do about it?! If I may, let me share a few Scriptures that call us to action. The first two are from the Message Translation and the last is from the New International Version.
Proverbs 31:8-9 “Speak up for the people who have no voice, for the rights of all the misfits. Speak out for justice! Stand up for the poor and destitute!”
Ephesians 5:11-16 – “Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins;
Christ will show you the light! So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!”
Ephesians 6:13-17 – “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Whew… trust me, I’m alight but I had to get that off my chest because I’m fed up…and you should be too!!! Thank you for listening!!!
